Are you interested in supporting water infrastructure in developing countries? Are you a runner (be it seriously, casually, or even aspirationally)? Do you like happy hours? Where have you heard this before? Our September happy hour was a bust (thanks a lot, rain), but instead of rescheduling, Team Water For People has resolved to hold monthly social runs at Memorial Park, followed by a Happy Hour at Canyon Creek. These will be the Third Thursday at least for the next three months leading up to the
race, with the first one on October 17th. We’ll plan to meet up near the Eastern Glades, towards the south end of the pay lots closest to Memorial Drive, around 5:30 and re-convene over at Canyon Creek (6603 Westcott St, Houston, TX 77007) between 6-6:30. Come run
with us, run on your own, or skip the run and meet us at the happy hour to learn more about Water For People and the opportunity to raise money for Water For People by participating in the Run For a Reason (RFAR) program through the
Houston Marathon. You can fundraise for your registration for any of the three events (full marathon, half-marathon, or 5k) that will be held January 18th-19th, 2025.
